Tonight is Derek Maki's
(Coolwater's Productions) first in his new weekly podcast!
Join
us at 7 PM PT for his chat with actor Doug Jones (Rise of the Silver Surfer, Pan's
Labyrinth, Doom...)
Sept. 28th, 2009- The Big Move:
The
host
move
is going slowly but surely. By some time in October,
all that will be on the pages at the old host are links to specific
pages on the new host. If anyone has an old site on Geocities,
back up your stuff before Oct. 26th when they'll delete it all.
If anyone is looking for a new host, I'm willing to discuss what worked
for me and why, 'cuz maybe it'll work for you too! And I may be
able to get you a first year discount. =)
I'll
try
to
update the site as I go, but a lot will have to wait til after,
as this site is bigger than I realized! Don't forget to update
your bookmarks if there are any with "geocities" in the URL.
In
a
nutshell:
ADI has new stuff on the horizon, Maddox Campbell's latest
movie is on sale, Tad Atkinson has some upcoming work, and there are
appearances for Amanda Tapping and Cliff Simon.
There
will
also
be some changes coming to the store, in addition to the ones
already made.
Updates to the MySpace page for this site are already in progress too,
links are being updated. The good thing about your own host is
that MySpace allows better linking!
Stay
tuned...

Also, the
website has been and will be updated. Some of the non-affiliates
pages will be removed in favour of increased space for the affiliates
of this site. There may be some other minor changes, but nothing
too extreme.
More
coming...
The *real* 1066 Movie!!
In
light of the murmurings in Hollywood of at least 3 films planning on
discussing the Battle of Hastings in 1066, with plenty of inaccurate
information about that period in history as well as misleading "facts"
about casting and so on, I thought I'd say a few words.
Helen Hollick has written
a wonderful novel,
Harold the King, on that very
period. I have read it, and
its amazing, well-researched, and accurate. Robin Jacob has
a film in the works based on 1066 and Hollick's novel. Some
characters
have already been cast, the script is coming together
wonderfully.
Here's
the
film's
IMDB page:
1066 the Movie on IMDB
The
US films are just in an idea stage and so on, so even though names like
"Daniel Craig" are flying around, the films haven't been cast.
Also,
they are woefully inaccurate. There was no great friendship
between
William, Duke of Normandy and Harold, King of England that was ruined,
and if you read up on the facts of the era, I'm sure everyone will find
the same mistakes I did. I doubt anyone wants such a
movie. If I am
correct, then by all means show your support of Robin Jacob and Helen
Hollick's accurate
1066 film!
July 19th, 2008-- New Homepage
As some of you
may have noticed, Actorz Inc. has a new homepage. I realize that
some may not prefer dark backgrounds, so I have not changed the entire
site, just the homepage for now. The page seems to work
seamlessly on Firefox and Seamonkey, with minimal problems with
IE. This website is best viewed with Firefox, and there may be
some asthetic problems on small tube monitors. But overall, the
page seems to be okay. If there are problems, contact the
webmaster using the contact tab above, so that the problem can be
reviewd and hopefully fixed. Also, if you scroll down the page,
feel free to sign out guest book!
Lots of interesting new things coming up, including the work being done
and cast being gathered for 1066. In addition to the aforementioned
film, Ian will be in two films this year- Solomon Kane,
and Disaster Movie.
Specifically,
check
out the pages for Ian Whyte, Cliff Simon and Tom
Woodruff for newly added appearances. More movie and actor pages
will soon be up. Thanks to everyone for your support.
January 11th, 2008-- AVP2
Hi
all, hope you've all had a chance to go see AVP2! It finished its
run here, but I imagine it'll continue in most other places for another
couple of weeks anyway. I liked it quite a bit, I went to see it
recently and was very interested to see how the use of the Predalien
would develop in the story. I don't have a lot to report with
regard to the site at the moment, traffic seems to have eased a bit, so
it should not be unavailable as much now that the AVP2 traffic has
cooled. Casting continues for 1066 and work
on that film continues. ADI has some upcoming projects and there
will be more information a bit later. I've updated the 'other
crew' list for ADI, as well as the page for Canadian actor Christopher
M. Campbell. Thats all for the moment... but there should be more
activity over the next while, so stay tuned!
November 13th, 2007-- Bit of news...
Good
morning,
Some
great
news,
Ian Whyte has been cast for the upcoming film 1066! Ian
while play a Viking
King in his film about the Battle of Hastings. The Actorz Inc.
page is up, with lots of links and information.
I
finished and uploaded Shannon Shea's "detailed movie page" so you can
click the links in his credit listing to learn more about the film or
television show. ADI's credits have been updated.
This
is
a
bit belated, but we have our first Canadian actor,
Christopher M. Campbell. Watch for the film called They
Didn't
Make
It at film
festivals where he plays Scott.
As well, here is the link for the official Actorz Inc. MySpace.
Everything
there
can be found here, and more, but its good for
networking, and there are official sites for various people and movie
featured here, like 1066.
All
for now...
September 22nd, 2007-- General
Update
Hi, I have added a few missing
credits for Scott MacDonald, and I am working on updating ADI's
credits, completing Shannon Shea's movie page, and the guest star page
for Amanda Tapping. On Amanda's page, you will also find a video
from her about the new show she is starring in called Sanctuary. Also, on the AVP
page- which serves for both the past and upcoming films, has a trailer
embedded.
On a personal note, I would urge everyone on the planet, if you ever
think there is "something wrong" with you healthwise- go your doctor
and insist that they do a very complete check up. Cancer, an ugly
word to be sure, is very common. A relative of mine had been sick
since February- the doctors told him it was just heartburn. Then
in August, they found out it was terminal cancer- in too many organs,
and too far advanced to cure, and he passed away two weeks later.
A very preventable trajedy my family and I are mourning. So go
with your gut, always.
Plus, take a look at this bulletin: Ebay auction of
autographed Stargate SG-1 gear that went to the arctic, in support of
helping kids like Trey with Hunter's Syndrome.
August
14th, 2007-- Convention
update
As
some of you may have noticed, Ian Whyte's appearance at Horrorfind has
been changed. He will be attending Collectormania in
Glasgow August 25th and 26th, and will make up his Horrorfind
appearance in March. Tom Woodruff attended Horrorfind as
planned. A new non-affiliate actor has been added- Ron
Livingston. He will star in the upcoming film American Crude,
where Scott MacDonald is Mr. Snow.
July 14th, 2007-- Videos on Actorz
Inc.
To
save
space
on
the homepage- so viewers will see the photos and links to the 10
actor's pages below- a list of videos that can be viewed from this site
will be put on the blog. As more appear, they will be put in a
blog post. All videos will be viewable from the actor's or
movie's page they are about.

November 10th, '06 -- New Posters...
Hi,
There
are
a
lot of new posters on the Movie page, including of Derek Maki's
latest works, Retard, directed by
Tom Woodruff, and Instant Dads, among others, Amalgamated Dynamics
Inc's most recent films, including SC 3, now in theaters, and All the
King's Men.
Also, Derek Maki is
producing a graphic novel called I, of the
Wolf. There's
some
links and info on Derek's page about that.
October 1st, '06 -- Actorz Inc. Store
Now open is the Actorz Inc. store.
Actorz Inc. is affiliated with Amazon.com,
so when you buy from the store, you are buying from them. They'll
have your personal information, not us. The store currently
offers 9 featured works of actors affiliated with Actorz Inc.
Sometime around November, hopefully that number will increase to 54,
offering you more selection. Ads will be removed from the actual
actors' pages, so they can all be featured in the store, making it
easier for me to update the site.
Aug. 24, '06 -- Photos and More!
Okay,
it's
been
a while, so here 's
what's up.
Here's a new RT
journal for Tom Woodruff Jr. and Alec Gillis, since there is no
mention of them on that popular site.
That'll just have a bit of
Actorz Inc. links and news on it, and so on.
Here links to some new photos on Actorz Inc:
Tom Woodruff, Jr.
Alec
Gillis
Chuck
Williams -- 2 new photos
Also, a film that Tom and Alec worked on, All
the
Kings's
Men, will be shown at the Toronto International
Film Festival, on Sept. 10th, at 9:30 pm.
A lot of things on new new Yahoo! 360 Blogs don't work right, so please
bear with me, I'm trying to make the links a less annoying colour, but
the edit and preview functions don't work. Grrr.
July
24,
2006
- New Actor
Actorz
Inc.
is
pleased to welcome Cliff Simon!
For information on this actor, most known for his role as Ba'al on
Stargate SG-1, you can now visit his page on Actorz Inc., which also
links to his official site and forum. Mr. Simon does visit the forum
personally, so if his fans have any questions, they can ask him at
Galaxy of Stars.
In other news, Tom Woodruff Jr.'s movie page is done, and ones for the
other people affiliated with Actorz Inc. are underway.
On that note, Actorz Inc. now has a movie page,
where each actor has a listing of recent movies. This feature is meant
to hi-light each actor's work, and also was put up as the home page was
getting a tad too long.
Scott MacDonald Interview
One thing I thought I'd also remind everyone about an
interview conducted with Scott MacDonald not long
ago, where he discusses his latest three films: Straight into
Darkness, Jarhead, and the upcoming American Crude.
The
interview
also talks about numerous guest appearances,
and has links, a gallery and a guestbook.
