| News: Cliff's character Ba’al has been voted the top Stargate villain by readers of Totalscifionline.com and Stargate Magazine! Congrats! Cliff Simon will be attending FedCon XIX April 30th- May 2nd, 2010 in Bonn, Germany. Cliff is also scheduled to be at Gatcon in Vancouver, B.C. July 8-11th, 2010. Galaxy of Stars, AKA Official Cliff Simon Forum is unavailable for an indefinate amount of time. The link takes you to a message from the administrator regarding what has happened. Thanks to Andrew for his many years running the forum, hopefully it will reopen in the future. Mr. Simon has some forthcoming work! It's early yet, so there are few details, but more will be posted when he gives the word. He is producing a sci fi "Western goth horror" that's "in the vein of steampunk" called Dust (hoping to have a teaser trailer before long) and will have a lead role. Cliff will have a guest spot in season 8 of 24, and is also the executive producer of a movie called Black Butterfly, the true story about an African American man who crosses the English Channel using only the butterfly stroke. Biography:
| Cliff
Simon was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on September 7th, 1962. He
moved to
London
temporarily
to finish school and then returned to South Africa, where he joined the
South African Airforce for two years. He was also an
international and
Olympic qualifying swimmer and a national gymnast. Mr. Simon later worked in Europe for twelve years as a professional model and dancer, performed for a year at the Moulin Rouge in Paris as an acrobat dancer and understudy to the principal singer. He returned to South Africa in 1987 where he took up modeling full time, winning the Mr. South Africa title in 1992. Shortly after winning the title he decided to studied acting and began work on Egoli: Place of Gold, where he was a permanent cast member for six years. In 2000, tired of the violence and political upheaval in Africa, Cliff moved to the United States with his wife Colette. Recent Appearances: 2009 November 6th- Mr. Simon attended the Official Stargate SG-1 / Atlantis Convention in Los Angeles, California. 7th- He was at Creation Con. at the Marriott LAX in Los Angeles, California January 23-4th- Cliff was at the Cultural Arts Centre in Dothan, Alabama. On the 23rd, Friday he was at the Fort Rucker training facity, and he hosted a charity event in the evening. On the 24th, he did a general signing session at the Cultural Arts Centre. 2008 November 7-9th- at Wolf Events SG14 in London. October 11 & 12th- at Facts 2008 in Ghent, Belgium. August 22nd-24th in Vancouver, Canada at Gatecon. 29th to September 01st at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, Georgia. Jumpcon: 1-3rd in Somerset, New Jersey, 8-10th in Washington, DC 15th-17th in Cleveland, Ohio. July 11-3th he was at the Polaris / Toronto Trek in Toronto, Canada. 26th Mr. Simon attended the Autograph Artists Alley in the afternoon at Comic-Con in San Diego, California. June 27-9th Mr. Simon was at the Stellaire II Convention on Reunion Island. 2007 December 1-2nd in Laguna Niguel for Lightspeed Fine Art's Eighth Annual Celebrity Charity Benefit. November 2-4th in Secaucus, N.J. for the Official Stargate SG-1 Convention 2007. 16-8th in Burbank, CA. for the Official Stargate SG-1 Convention 2007. October 18-20th for Gatecon in Reading, UK. September Aug. 29th-September 1st in Atlanta Georgia for Dragon*Con.
