Straight into Darkness (2006)


This movie, set in World War Two, features a reluctant soldier (Ryan Francis) and a more violent, battle ready soldier (Scott MacDonald) who are fighting in France.  The two desert, and must brave the elements, and the retreating German forces to survive.  The duo join forces with a group of children when some desperate Nazis troops come against them.  Directed by Jeff Burr, produced by Mark Hannah and Chuck Williams.

Jarhead (2005)

This movie is based on the book (by the same name) written by Anthony Swofford. Swofford is an ex-marine, and has written about his experiences fighting in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.  When he joined the Marines, he found it difficult, but he eventually finds his way in a sniper unit.  Scott MacDonald plays Fitch, a nasty Drill Instructor, in the film which also stars Jake Gyllenhaal as  Swoff, Jamie Foxx as Staff Sgt. Sykes and Peter Sarsgaard as Troy.  Directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes.

Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman

In this sequel of the first Jack Frost movie, Sheriff Sam Tiler, his wife Anne, and Sam's two deputies (also husband and wife) decide to go on a Caribbean vacation to take their minds off the traumatic events of the previous movie in a place with absolutely no snow. Their holiday will be short-lived, however, as the thawed murderer (Scott MacDonald) gets inadvertantly re-frozen and brought back to life.  As if that weren't bad enough, he now has the ability to remain frozen even in tropical temperatures, and he's headed south to settle some old scores.

Seven Girlfriends

The encounters are comic, surprising and revelatory.

Scott MacDonald plays Scott, a jogger in the film.

Michael Straczynski.

3 Ninjas Knuckle up  (1995)

This movie was filmed in 1993, but released in 1995. 
Friends Rocky, Colt and TumTum come against a toxic waste dumper in order to save anIndian tribe.  The trouble is, the man dumping the toxic waster is very rich, and owns the near by town.  He has the local politicans and law enforcement under his thumb.  The 3 Ninjas must also battle a gang, and some cowboys to save a tribe, and their friend Joe.



Fire in the Sky  (1993)


This movie takes place in Snowflake, Arizona, and replays the events of Nov. 5th, 1975.  Travis Walton (D.B. Sweeney) and a group of friends are at work in the forest, logging for the government.  On the way home, they see a bright light, a UFO.  Travis Walton approaches it for a closer look, and disappears.  The other men return to town to sound the alarm, but instead they are accused of murder.  They endure suspicion, accusations from Travis' brother Dan Walton (Scott MacDonald) and interrogation, despite the fact that there is no evidence of murder, nor even a motive.  Travis Walton is gone for five days,  and when found, he has some terrifying memories.
