News: Tad Atkinson is currently rehearsing for a forthcoming play.

He worked on the film
The Big Idea, which was screened in the Beverly Hills Short Film Festival Feb. 28th, 2009.  The movie is written and directed by Michael Rutherford and stars Matt Winston. Official site.

Tad has a role as a Soldier in a stage production called Aftermath.  The play is a fresh take on a Greek tragedy.  He will also be the assistant stage manager for this show and an accompanying piece, The Trojan Women.  Both shows will be directed by Tony award-winning director Tony Tanner.

Mr. Atkinson appeared as an alien in Star Trek XI  (now available on DVD and Blu-ray from Amazon.com) and is also promoting the new Batmobile and Speed Racer designed by Steve Sakane.

Biography:
September 2008
Mr. Atkinson was cast as the lead Dave Wilkerson in the world premiere of the stage adaptaion The Cross and the Switchblade, which has completed a successful run.

Tad Atkinson was born on
19th April, 1965, in Wilmette, Illinois, USA.  He has been acting since the age of 6, performing a variety of characters, including romantic, comic and villinous.  He studied under renowned Hollywood and Broadway director Joshua Logan, and in L.A. he studied with Richard Waterhouse and Joel Colman.

Tad has his BA from Taylor University with an English major, and has not only a Masters degree, but has also finished all of the coursework towards a PhD in British Literature at Ball State University. He has taught college and was the Director of Drama at Fort Wayne Christian School.
In 2004 he decided to pursue acting as a full-time career and made the move to L.A.

Tad received an Excellence in Acting Award for his portrayal on stage of Oberon in A Midsummer-Night's Dream.
